Close a Royal Reels account and get help

Short answer: to delete a Royal Reels account, ask support in writing to close it permanently, self-exclude you and pay out your balance. The casino lists time-outs and self-exclusion of up to one year. Free, confidential help is open 24/7: Gambling Help Online, 1800 858 858.

Need to talk to someone now?

Free help, any time. Gambling Help Online: 1800 858 858, free and confidential, by phone or online chat, 24 hours a day. If you feel unsafe or in crisis, call Lifeline on 13 11 14, 24/7.

To delete a Royal Reels account, you have to ask the casino. Its responsible gambling page says its time-out and self-exclusion tools work through its support team, so the practical route is a written request through the chat or ticket form inside your account.

Closing one account is one step, and a good one. Because Royal Reels is offshore, Australia’s national self-exclusion register does not reach it (our reading, explained below). That makes the tools at your end, such as a bank gambling block and free counselling, matter even more. You don’t have to do all of this today. Pick one step and start there.

What the casino itself offers

Royal Reels self-exclusion lasts up to one year, which is not the same as a permanent closure. If you want the account closed for good, say so in plain words and ask for written confirmation. To close a Royal Reels account cleanly, put everything in one message, as in the request below.

Send this through the chat or ticket form inside your account, so it is linked to you. Replace the parts in square brackets. Our support channels guide explains where the chat and ticket form are.

Please do the following and confirm each point to me in writing:

  1. Close my account permanently. Do not reopen it, even if I ask later.
  2. Apply your longest self-exclusion to me.

BetStop: what it covers and what it doesn’t

BetStop is the National Self-Exclusion Register. It launched on 21 August 2023, is run by ACMA and is free. You can exclude yourself for anything from 3 months to life, registration takes about 5 minutes, and you can nominate a support person.

BetStop covers licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers, which must be connected to it. Royal Reels holds no Australian licence, so as far as we can tell BetStop does not reach it or other offshore casinos. That is our inference from BetStop’s scope; ACMA does not say it in those words. BetStop is still worth registering with if you also bet with Australian bookmakers, because one registration covers all of them.

Bank gambling blocks and blocking software

A bank gambling block stops gambling transactions on your card. The ACT Gambling and Racing Commission lists opt-in blocks at ANZ, Bank of Melbourne, Commonwealth Bank, NAB, St George and Westpac, and says several other card issuers block gambling on credit cards automatically.

When you call your bank, ask three things: whether it offers a block, whether the block covers every card you hold, and whether there is a waiting period before it can be lifted. Our page on deposits and bank blocks explains why blocked payments fail and why we never suggest ways around them.

Blocking software

Blocking software stops gambling websites and apps from opening on the devices you install it on. Several products exist, and we don’t recommend any particular one. Install it on every device you use, including your phone. If you are not sure where to start, Gambling Help Online is free to call or chat 24/7.

Help for you, and for family and friends

Gambling Help Online is free and confidential. You can call 1800 858 858 or use online chat, both 24/7, and it also offers email counselling, self-assessment, self-help modules, a peer forum and a directory of local services. It is funded by the Australian, state and territory governments.

It is not only for the person gambling. Gambling Help Online says its counselling and support are open to family members and friends too, and its services include financial counselling (checked 18 Oct 2026). If someone close to you is gambling on Royal Reels, you can call for yourself, even if they are not ready to.

For crisis support at any hour, Lifeline is on 13 11 14.

Money still in the account

If you have a balance, ask for it in the same message that closes the account, so the payout and the closure are on record together. In March 2021 ACMA urged people using newly blocked sites to withdraw their money straight away, and it warns that “Australians who use illegal gambling services risk losing their money.”

Expect an ID check first. The casino’s terms reserve the right to check your identity before any payout, and its AML policy allows an account to be terminated if requested documents are not provided within 30 days. Send documents only through your account. If the payout then stalls, our step-by-step guide to a pending withdrawal explains what to do.

If the balance is what keeps pulling you back, that is worth talking about. Gambling Help Online is on 1800 858 858, and talking it through is free and confidential.

Account closure and help: questions

  • How do I delete my Royal Reels account?

Send a written request through the chat or ticket form inside your account asking for permanent closure, self-exclusion, a payout of your balance and an end to marketing. Ask them to confirm each point in writing, and keep a copy. The template on this page covers all of it.

  • Can I self-exclude from Royal Reels?

Yes, according to its responsible gambling page: time-outs of 1, 3, 7 or 15 days and self-exclusion of up to one year, both through support (checked 16 Oct 2026). Ask for it in writing and ask them to confirm the end date.

  • Does BetStop cover Royal Reels?

Not as far as we can tell. BetStop covers licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers, and Royal Reels holds no Australian licence. This is our inference from BetStop’s scope. It is still worth registering if you also bet with Australian bookmakers.

  • What is a bank gambling block?

It is a setting on your card that stops gambling transactions. ANZ, Bank of Melbourne, Commonwealth Bank, NAB, St George and Westpac offer opt-in blocks, and several other issuers block gambling on credit cards automatically. Ask your bank how to turn it on.

  • Will I get my remaining balance when I close the account?

We can’t promise that. Ask for the payout in the same written request, expect an ID check first, and keep records. ACMA warns that Australians who use illegal gambling services risk losing their money.

  • Someone I love gambles on Royal Reels. Where can I get help?

Gambling Help Online supports family members and friends as well as the person gambling. Call 1800 858 858 or start an online chat, 24/7, free and confidential. You can get support for yourself even if they are not ready to change.

  • I closed my account but still get marketing messages. What can I do?

Reply in writing asking the casino to stop all marketing and to confirm it, and keep a copy. Don’t click links in those messages, because lookalike sites copy the brand. Blocking the sender on your phone and email also helps.
